Planning and Restoration

Post wildfire flooding leads to increased flow during events and increased rates of erosion within the burned watershed. These events have the potential to not only damage natural areas, but have detrimental impacts to downstream communities. NCDE has extensive experience in post wildfire flood and sediment studies, modeling, planning and repair of natural systems to benefit both the natural drainage systems and reduce flood damage in downstream communities. NCDE uses methodologies that mimic natural systems to spread flow, decrease sediment and stabilize existing channels within natural systems to decrease impacts on downstream infrastructure.
